The cable came in standard black vinyl coil-wound housing. It does or even exceed the Original Equipment Manufacturer (O.E.M) quality. So quite happy about it. It does have Inner nylon sleeve for longer life and smooth operation, so hopefully I won't have to order another one in near future very soon. :)
